We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains clearly what data we collect, why, and how we use it.
Who We Are and What This Policy Covers
This Privacy Policy applies to the AI Translate Keyboard & Themes Android application (package: com.fynotech.translate.keyboard.ai), developed by Fyno Technologies (SMC-Private) Limited, registered with SECP and PSEB, located at NJ Tower, DHA Phase 1, Islamabad, Pakistan.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to this policy. This policy complies with Google Play's User Data Policy, Google AdMob policies, GDPR, CCPA/CPRA 2026, and COPPA.
What Data We Collect and Why
Every data type collected by the App or its integrated third-party SDKs is listed below. This matches our Google Play Data Safety declaration exactly.
What Our Keyboard Does and Does Not Do
What we DO with your typed text
- → We process keystrokes locally on your device to display them in the keyboard and enable typing.
- → When you tap the Translate button, we send that specific text to Google's translation service.
- → The translated result is inserted into the app you are using via Android's standard InputConnection API.
What we DO NOT do
- ✕ We do not log, record, or store any text you type on our servers.
- ✕ We do not transmit your keystrokes to any server.
- ✕ We do not read password fields — Android's secure input system blocks this automatically.
- ✕ We do not use Accessibility services for keylogging or tracking.
- ✕ We do not share what you type with advertisers.
- ✕ We do not use your typing to train any AI or machine learning model.
How Translation Works and Where Your Text Goes
On-device translation — Google ML Kit (free, offline, private)
For common language pairs, translation runs entirely on your device. No text leaves your device. Works offline after language models are downloaded. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Cloud translation — Google Cloud Translation API (fallback)
For less common language pairs not supported by ML Kit, the text you choose to translate is sent to Google Cloud Translation API via encrypted HTTPS. Google processes this text solely to return a translation. Governed by the Google Cloud Privacy Notice.
Local storage
Your translation history and phrasebook are stored in a local database on your device only. They never leave your device through our systems. Clear them anytime via Settings → Clear All Data.
Advertising — Google AdMob
The free version of the App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob (Google LLC). Ads are shown to free-tier users only. Pro subscribers see zero ads and no advertising data is collected on their behalf.
What AdMob collects (free users only)
- Advertising ID (GAID): Used to serve relevant ads, limit frequency, and measure performance.
- Device information: Device model, OS version, screen size, app version.
- IP address: For approximate regional targeting and fraud prevention. Precise GPS not used.
- Ad interaction data: Which ads were shown and tapped.
Our ad configuration commitments
- We use non-personalised ads by default where user consent has not been collected.
- We do not target ads at children and apply Google Play Families Policy settings.
- We do not share your typed text with AdMob under any circumstances.
Opt out of personalised ads
Go to Settings → Privacy → Ads → Delete Advertising ID on your device, or visit adssettings.google.com.

Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics
We use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how the App is used and to fix technical issues. All data is processed by Google LLC under their privacy policy.
Firebase Analytics collects
App usage events, screen views, session duration, device type, OS version, and country (derived from IP address).
Firebase Crashlytics collects
Crash stack traces, device state at time of crash (memory, battery, OS version), and an anonymised installation UUID.
We do not sell or share analytics data beyond Google Firebase's own processing. Governed by the Firebase Privacy and Security documentation.

Children's Privacy — COPPA & Google Play Families Policy
AI Translate Keyboard is designed for a general audience. It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.
- We apply non-personalised ad settings by default as required by Google Play's Families Policy.
- We do not use interest-based advertising for users under 16, per CCPA 2026 provisions.
- Parents or guardians who believe a child under 13 has used the App may contact us at contact@fynotechnologies.com.

Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

GDPR — EU and EEA users
Our legal bases for processing: (a) performance of the translation service you requested; (b) legitimate interests in improving the App and preventing fraud; (c) compliance with legal obligations. You may lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
CCPA / CPRA — California users
We do not sell your personal information. Passing data to Google AdMob for ad revenue constitutes "sharing" under CCPA. Opt out by deleting your Google Advertising ID. You have the right to know, delete, correct, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To exercise any right, contact us at contact@fynotechnologies.com. We respond within 30 days (GDPR) or 45 days (CCPA).
How We Protect Your Data
- All communications with Google APIs are encrypted using TLS/HTTPS.
- API keys are stored securely in Firebase Remote Config — never hardcoded in the APK.
- Local data is stored in a protected Room database accessible only to the App.
- We do not maintain servers that store user data. All processing is via Google's infrastructure.
- The App does not collect passwords, financial information, or sensitive personal data.
No method of internet transmission is 100% secure. We encourage you to keep your device updated with the latest security patches.
How to Delete Your Data
In-app deletion
Go to Settings → Clear All Data to permanently delete all local translation history, phrasebook entries, and preferences. Uninstalling the App also removes all local data.
Third-party data deletion
- Firebase: Reset your Advertising ID or contact us with your Firebase installation ID.
- AdMob: Delete your Google Advertising ID via Settings → Privacy → Ads.
- Subscription: Managed via Google Play subscriptions.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the Last Updated date at the top and, for material changes, provide a notice within the App on next launch.
This Privacy Policy was last updated on July 15, 2026. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
